The Emo Song

Years ago, emo kids would mock goth kids for being "so spooky." Now the tables have turned.

Comments:
When did emo become all about the hair? emo kids in the 90s dressed like Napoleon Dynamite, interchanging band t-shirts with dopey retro rainbow brite crap, and cut their own hair with a mirror and blunt safety scissors. What are the goth kids looking like these days, and no don't tell me it's Chemical Romance black and red stylings?

tables have turned in deed!

In all honesty, I rarely go to goth clubs, even though I sincerely think that goth clubs are friendlier than indie hipster establishments. From what I have noticed lately, though, goths seem to be pretty much the same as before: PVC; corsets; five-inch heels. There are varying degrees of goth now, I think. You have the ones described above. Then you have the teenage goths that are really metalheads with dyed black hair. They tend to favor striped tights and Lamb of God t-shirts for that Fuse Metal Asylum look. However, I have heard that such youngins do in fact think of themselves as goths, or, at least the newspaper reporters do. Then there are the folks who, like me, were goth but aren't really goth anymore but still wear a lot of black.
