Warriors of Scandal

"I hate this song. Yet, I can't help thinking of Stewie dancing to it in his Ipod commercial."
"I only know it from Family Guy."
"I remember it from when I was little. I hated it then too."
"Why?"
"'Shooting at the walls of heartache/Bang, bang/ I am the warrior' Even an eight-year-old could tell you that those were the worst lyrics ever."
"Oh, but she wants to tame your animal style."
"Stop it!"
"It's the bang, bang part. That's what makes the song terrible even by an eighth graders standards."
"Eight-year-old. It was 1984."

Are there songs more abysmal than "The Warrior?" I'm not sure. You can add your responses to the comments section.

Comments:
i'm voting for the entire catalogues by blink-182, green day, and britney spears.

You know what gets me is how Green Day can win so much critical acclaim for an album that is lyrically the equivalent of a heated debate in a high school government class. Seriously, some of those lyrics sound like they came straight from the zines my friends and I did in high school and that shit is embarassing.

seriously. i wasn't that impressed they did a political album. i know you and i could write something much more significant.

Half the folks on Live Journal could write something more significant.

"I've got soul but I'm not a soldier." Worst lyric of all time. Only made worse by the fact that it gets repeated so many times.

Oh, yeah, that is a rotten lyric. I cringed the first time I heard it.

We forgot to mention Weezer's "We're All on Drugs." Those might qualify as worst lyrics ever.

what about "dumps like a truck" from sisqo?

I think I've blocked that song out of my mind.

I've got it!

"Nothing My Love Can't Fix", by Joey Lawrence.

Worst. Song. Ever.

By this token, of course, "P.A.S.S.I.O.N." by Rhythm Syndicate is second-worst, which is just pathetic.
Fun fact: while googling half-remembered lyrics from 12 years ago to find the name of this song, I found out that Donny Osmond sang back-ups on it. mp3 here
