Oh the Things We Forget

Sometimes I forget just how good a song is. For example, today I decided to go through my records and figure out what I will play on Thursday night. The task is nowhere near complete, but, in the process, I came across these excellent songs that I used to play a lot and wanted to share with you in list form. If you don't have any of these, please seek them.

I really suggest seeking the Lifestyle song. I'm not even sure if the band is together anymore, as I lost touch with them a few years back (if anyone reading this knows them, drop me a line). Anyhow, I think one of the guys was in Freezepop and I met another member on a chatboard and he sent me a cd. Now, I rarely play stuff that bands send me because usually they are more like demos, so oftentimes either the song needs work or the production is such that it will sound like an aural nightmare on a club soundsystem. "My Favorite Song," though, immediately became my favorite song. So, I played it in the middle of the night because I thought that people would have to love it, and it did really well, thus becaming a staple of the Liz set from 2001-2003 or something like that.

And of course, you realize that I have a bunch of these on disc because of you, dammit?
