Look a Contest

I told you about this show before. Perhaps I didn't tell you that I'm going to be DJing in between the bands. Well, I am. So, in addition to the rare opportunity to see both Ectomorph and Solvent live in Los Angeles, you will also have a chance to dance to sweet electro-pop, hard-hitting dance classics and a mess of remixed indie tracks that you really wish you had.
But, it gets better. I have tickets to giveaway. Yes, the first two people topost something awesome in the comments section for this entry get on the list with a +1. Can you beat that? I really don't think so.

Comments:
ec·to·morph n.
An individual having a lean, slightly muscular body build in which tissues derived from the embryonic ectoderm predominate.

sol·vent adj.
1 - Capable of meeting financial obligations.
2 - Chemistry. Capable of dissolving another substance.

sol·vent n.
1 - A substance in which another substance is dissolved, forming a solution.
2 - A substance, usually a liquid, capable of dissolving another substance.
3 - Something that solves or explains.

Results: ECTOMORPH scores major points for the cooler sounding name but SOLVENT wins by a nose for its multiple meanings.

Oh, and...

D·J Liz n.
1 - bad-ass sound spinner
2 - kick-ass editor at large
3 - all of that and more

Dude, you are so on the list. Nice job.

tim, flattery will get you everywhere!;)

I have that very Muzik CD you are talking about. I love it. I used to play Living in a Magazine during DJ sets, people would really dig it.

what time are you playing at on sunday? between the other two? who are they again???

hook up a turntable to your PC soundcard and you should be able to bounce to digital very easy...bunch of different tools - go to shareware.com and search for wav recorder....

I'm on Mac, actually.

But, yeah, that Muzik cd is good. I'm playing before, between, and after the groups. Solvent is on Suction now, but released a lot of stuff through Ghostly. He remixed Adult. as well. Ectomorph did that "Shari Vari" mix, along with a lot of other remixes (Tuxedomoon "No Tears" for one) along with its own productions. Ectomorph is from Detroit, Solvent is from (I believe) Toronto. It's going to be cool. Just email me if you want on the guest list.

Oh, here's my email: lizziegolightly@gmail.com

Isn't Suction owned by Solvent?

Probably, I think he has something to do with it, but the old stuff, or, at least the old stuff I have, is from Ghostly.
